I truly believe Yoga can be beneficial for every body! It’s an integrative system designed to increase wellbeing, energy & vitality. Who doesn’t need more of this?!
In the years since completing my first teacher training in 2007, I’m continually amazed where the practice of Yoga and Meditation can take people. Helping to relieve injuries, illness, mental health issues, aches & pains and generally improving peoples lives. It’s never about getting your body into ‘the perfect pose’ & reaching an end destination, but about your state of mind & learning to listen to your inner authority.
I teach lighthearted & explorative classes, with the intention to create a non-judgmental & safe environment for all. I'm especially interested in the therapeutic aspects of Yoga and mindfulness, and tailoring them to individual needs to ensure accessibility for all.
My teaching objective is to encourage people to move out of their busy minds and into their bodies, to find inner harmony and move into a more restful state. My classes and self practice are focused around our intrinsic mind-body connection, and on ways to directly access the mind through the breath and nurturing the body.
I am a qualified Yoga Therapist and Teacher, and have explored a variety of different styles to deepen my understanding of Yoga. Teacher training qualifications include: Hatha, Ashtanga, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Yoga Therapy. I teach group classes, 1:1 Yoga classes, specialised Yoga Therapy sessions either 1:1 or in a small groups. I am also a qualified Mindfulness and Compassion teacher, level 4 trained and accredited by the Counseling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (UK).
I love biking, walking and being out in nature. I find spending time outdoors fundamental to my practice, health & happiness. I feel truly privileged to be living on the doorstep of this magnificent adventure playground!
